thirdSelf is a place for growth, fun, and interesting discourse. However, we do have some ground rules.
The following are guidelines for acceptable skill hiring and conduct on thirdSelf developed in partnership between the thirdSelf team and the community.
General – thirdSelf is a place to add your skills for hire, not a place to break the law. Don’t list or sell anything that violates any law. Don’t list or sell anything that facilitates, incites or encourages the violation of any law. Wherever you’re located, be mindful of the laws that apply to you. Most of the following types of activities and conduct are illegal in many countries, and are strictly not permitted on thirdSelf.
Infringements – We respect the intellectual property rights of others and we expect you to do the same, including copyrights, trademarks, and patents. Please avoid including any legally protected material in a post without a legal justification for doing so (such as a formal license, fair use justification, etc.). We will remove posts in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) when properly notified that the post infringes a third party’s copyright. We also take steps to terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Unacceptable Listings – We don’t allow certain types of listings that harm the community or that are not acceptable as defined by our terms of use. In short, if you are not comfortable sharing your skill with your friends and family, you can’t list it on thirdSelf. Types of listings that are unacceptable include:

If you publish a post or do something else that breaks one or more of these rules, we will delete the offending post from the platform, and you will be given a “strike” for the violation.
Your first strike will result in a warning. Successive strikes will result in escalating penalties, from a temporary freeze (referred to as “Limited mode”) on your ability to interact with the thirdSelf community up to and including the termination of your account.
The penalty progression will generally look like this:
You will be notified of the moderation action via email. The notice you receive will include a reference to the specific rule you broke, a reminder of your current strike count, and an explanation of how you can appeal the decision.
Note that the consequences apply to most violations of our rules, but there are certain categories of violation that fall under a Zero Tolerance policy and will result in immediate termination. We reserve this approach for the most egregious offenses, including:
We may also take action in accordance with the Terms of Use if we believe it is warranted.

thirdSelf is currently at the start of its launch, with some features and functions still in beta, and like all new products with big ambitions, we need some time to get things right. We’re working hard to make this a platform that works for you and for us, as well as strengthen security, and ultimately create a product you’ll love.
We began beta testing the platform in the U.S., and are set to steadily roll out globally. Because each place carries different legal and procedural requirements around identity verification and content moderation, we’ll need to take this step-by-step.

Be what you love.
